چکیده

Background: The vast percentage of the alveolar bone resorption process happens within first 12 to 24 weeks post extraction; however, this phenomenon is chronic, and ridge continues resorb. In order prevent reduction or at least recompense loss dimensions, preservation (ARP) technique was developed. Objectives: This research studied vertical horizontal dimensional changes as a result non-molar teeth extraction alone against with utilizing composite (bioceramics/collagen) graft by cone-beam computed tomography radiographies analyses. Material Methods: randomized split-mouth controlled trial. patients need maxillary were enrolled allocated into 2 groups. sockets after atraumatic filled in role test group, left unassisted healing without any materials control group. Two CBCT radiographs taken baseline 4 months for comparison. Both resorptions analyzed between group radiographs. Results: extraction, there mean compared (0.56 ± 0.15 mm) (1.47 0.30 Whereas it (0.90 0.16 (2.26 Therefore, significant difference two Conclusions: Within limitations research, we demonstrated that osteogen-plug significantly decreased comparison tooth alone, showed change minimized using an osteogen-plug.

Role of Cone Beam Computed Tomography in Rehabilitation of a Traumatised Deficient Maxillary Alveolar Ridge Using Symphyseal Block Graft Placement

Deficiencies in the alveolar ridges cause multiple problems in achieving aesthetic and functional outcome of implant therapy and are commonly restored by using onlay graft from intraoral source. Careful assessment of the recipient as well as the donor site using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a prerequisite to ideal treatment planning. This paper highlights the critical role of CBCT in...

Assessment of Accessory Mental Foramen by Cone-Beam Computed Tomography

Introduction: Any foramen in the buccal surface of mandibular body that transfers mental nerve and vessels except mental foramen, is called Accessory Mental Foramen (AMF). The objective of this study was the determination of the AMF using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods:  this descriptive study was done on 180 CBCT projections which were selected by convenience samp...

Bilocular Stafne Bone Defect above And Below the Inferior Alveolar Canal Assessed by Cone Beam Computed Tomography: A Case Report

Stafne bone defect is a bone depression containing salivary gland or fatty soft tissue on the lingual surface of the mandible. The most common location is within the submandibular gland fossa and often close to the inferior border of the mandible. This defect is asymptomatic and generally discovered only incidentally during radiographic examination of the area. Stafne bone defect appears as a w...

Six-month bracket failure rate with a flowable composite: A split-mouth randomized controlled trial

INTRODUCTION: The use of flowable composites as an orthodontic bonding adhesive merits great attention because of their adequate bond strength, ease of clinical handling and reduced number of steps in bonding. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this Randomized Controlled Trial was to comparatively evaluate over a 6-month period the bond failure rate of a flowable composite (Heliosit Orthodontic, Ivoclar ...
